shadowman, SBC Yahoo has been offering a $15 DSL with up to 1.5 Mb/s download speed for a while in the Silicon Valley area - maybe elsewhere, too. I think it costs more after year one. www01.sbc.com

'Up to 1.5 Mb/s' is all they say and there seems to be no minimum speed guaranteed - or it's hard to nail them down. Some people I know get about 1.2-1.3 Mb/s - another gets 0.4 Mb/s even after 3 SBC trucks camped by his house for a few days. :)

Has anyone signed up for the Verizon DSL for $14.95 per month? How is it working? I am paying about $42 per month for cable and it works well, but costly.
