Dennis, [2 PS inserted] I'd take the expensive cable back for a refund and find a much cheaper white, yellow, red. That's what I'm using for AV out to TV from my DVD player. The cheaper cable will work and you can then decide whether you need a more expensive cable based on picture quality.

I think most people won't feel they need an expensive cable as the difference is not apparent to them. That's just my guess.

It would be good to hear from someone who uses the expensive cable [they are over $60, no?]

PS: I had to go to a surplus store to find a cheap but adequate cable. Apparently the electronics chain stores have found a new profit center with expensive gold plated cables.

PPS: the expensive cable may be useful if a very long cable is needed, because it is less lossy. I'd use a short, cheap cable instead and put the DVD player close to the projector.
