There have been two missions. One was completed when the Iraqis successfully went to the polls in January. The other is still in process.

First off, the threat to the United States that the president said Iraq represented, WMDs, nuclear potential, Al Qaeda and all that turned out to be bogus. So the first decision to go to war was flawed. None of the stated reason to invade were non-existant.

My sense was that it was to be a quick war, liberate the people and get out of there... It ain't a quick fight for the ladies and gents over there.

I guess it looks different to you, but to me I see a bloody civil war brewing.

So even though the president says, "mission accomplished," it don't look that way to me. It looks like a mess to me, but then I'm loony lefty,
