I find that whole concept somewhat elitist/snobbish. With the real estate boom, carpenters, plumbers, roofers, air conditioning technicians etc etc are all prospering. And they generally hirer assistants as they get busy.

They may not be up on the latest software, but they do work hard, and I find them at least as deserving as the silicon valley techie types.

"stock market bubble you had hiring and core demand"

I don't know Lizzie. You've got all the people involved with selling houses, developers, 10 million Mexican carpenters, plumbers, sheetrockers, roofers and cement guys, the lenders, the insurance people and hordes of others. Unlike the dot com thing, where only a memory of a sock puppet is left of Pets.com, these guys are leaving houses in their wake. The dot com thing was mainly left coast, while this is spread out.
