Last I heard from Jill was probably a couple of years ago. She'd just gotten her pilot's license and a small plane. Doing lots of globe-trotting and having a blast.

Last time I saw her in person was when a company in San Fran flew me out for a job interview when I got laid off here. Turned out Jill lived in that neck of the woods at the time and took me to dinner.

Before I forget, could you do me a favor and tell MulhollandDrive that I really haven't decided whether or not I want to make a "Who's ignoring me" list a part of the site, let alone set an ETA for it?

I'd tell her myself but I didn't see her ask because I've got her on Igno..... Oops.

Regarding back when I was a code-monkey for SI...

That's a very common misconception and it's especially amusing to me in light of the fact that when I showed up at iHub, one of the loudest berating voices there was shouting something to the effect of "What makes you think you can be a programmer?"

I was a programmer *before* I went to work for SI. But not while. I left a pretty good career (and still glad I did) to work here as the Administrator. I started out just baby-sitting the hardware so the Dryers could take a vacation. Then they decided Jill could use a vacation and had me fill in for her for a bit. When nothing blew up, we made it a more permanent relationship.

I didn't write a single line of SI code until we bought the site in 03.

Back in the tee-shirt days, I considered myself a "retired programmer". Not realizing at the time that the retiree's job I got would turn into an 80 hour a week nightmare. <g>
