The origins of the N&S American natives is still extremely controversial.

So then its not clear that N. America was settled by pre Polynesians? I don't understand why its not possible that human life originated here just as it did in Africa, Asia and Europe?

I thought American indian genes could be traced from Southeast asia up through the bering strait and down into the americas.
Same S.E. Asia groups populated polynesia?
