Yes, but I experienced it as a techie and an investor, first in Silicon Valley, and then in S. Cal. This housing/easy credit/low interest rate boom is much more widely distributed.
The tech boom was felt mainly in a few cities across the country, but mainly in Silicon Valley. The investment mania then was global though!
