Brooks article was interesting but I think he glossed over the obvious. Iraq is not a natural country and as such the goal of a stable peaceful iraq is just an illusion. It will be divided or ruled by one group and that is looking more and more like the Shia allied closely with Iran. This is not a goal worth the price of our soldiers life and limb. This won't do a dam thing to reduce global terrorism. Meanwhile anyone know where Osama and Omar are these days? They are after all the main targets of this "war".
