Re: "War on Terror" brings increased revenues to existing large US corporations...

...as well as lucrative pork-barrel to scores of Israeli outfits that belong to the security/bodyguard/surveillance sector. Ever since 9/11, most airlines have been required to beef up their security --guess which company they turned to for advice? Israeli carrier El Al. All of Europe's police departments have been fretting about terrorism, suicide attacks, devastating bombings, etc. --which country's "security seminars" they flocked to? Again: Israel. As a matter of fact, the cunning Israelis have got it both ways: they set off the bombs against European interests first, and next, reap the multi-million-$ contracts to provide advice and security expertise to the European dupes... What's the word for it? Protection racket?

Cynically yours,
Gus

re: Am I a commie? No way, just another a cynic.

Not a cynic, a realist. The government has become "of, by and for" the special interests, instead of "of, by and for" the people.

Somehow we need to take the government back so the "solving the energy crisis" isn't treated as just another government opportunity to give more huge tax breaks to energy companies.

It's disgusting.
