I'm familiar with Oakland. I really doubt that the 11k people "already had jobs"! You know what WalMart pays? They do offer health insurance, but the employee has to pay for ALL of it, and if they do, they take home almost nothing.

Someone has a figure for the number of jobs lost during the Bush administration - maybe they'll fill you in. One decent jobs report doesn't eliminate all that unemployment. It'll take quite a bit more than the number of terrible jobs reports.
