Partitioning Schemes ...

Gottfried,

<< I'm giving your partitioning scheme some thought >>

My primary 'Guru' for optimizing Windows through its evolution dating back to WFWG 3.11 (and perhaps before) has been Brian Livingston. On XP he still recommends the separate partitions for the VM Swap File and the Internet Cache, but these are small partitions. I'm one of those olde fashioned cats that defragments all drives every month or so, even with XP Pro, but especially before XP, keeping these separate made for quick and easy defrag on just these logical drives.
