I would have commented Bill, but it was 1:30 am, my old standby runs slower than a slug and I was very tired.

I read the entire piece, looked at the pictures and was amazed. I think CSM Robert Prosser is an unclewest type guy..........I could see uncle doing what Prosser did........and SGT Daniel Lama very much reminds me of my first born son, so all in all, as I read, I was emotionally swept away. I don't think allot of people want to subject themselves to the day to day minutia of the fighting on the ground stuff. It was the first time I'd taken the time to read Yon, and I highly urge you to continue to post his blog.

Bill, I have to admit I skimmed over your original post about Yon, but with your repeated postings, I decided to stop being lazy and check out his site.
michaelyon.blogspot.com

And what I found is some absolute top-notch reporting!

Thanks for bringing attention to his work.

Mike

Yon's piece was quite riveting -- riveting despite its length, too, a good thing. I read it a few minutes after you posted it, and was pretty exhausted from his ordeal (and that it was long after midnight, locally). No comment, as ... after he's been through that, my day was pretty tame by comparison, just pushing around pixels for clients.

"The reaction here was a yawn."
