I thought Jodie could speak English ? LOL :))) Actually, she attended the Lycee Français here in the Bay Area when she was growing up, so her French really is excellent. I don't know why her parents had her in that school, except that it is an excellent private school, foreign language or not. My dad was born in Germany (in Zwickau) and was bilingual, but possibly because of anti German sentiment with the war and all, never tried to transmit any of this cultural heritage, and I got nothing out of it. Finally in my 40's, I lived in France and managed to learn enough of that language to do everything there, but I'll never speak like I didn't just get off the boat...
