Slagle, it's not exactly correct to say I don't read. Vast screeds of words have entered my brain over several decades, not to mention lots of 3D things as well as lots of 2D images. Some of them have stuck.

Having a show-off home library of "intelligent" stuff isn't a measure of knowing things.

<So lets see, you don't have a library and don't read (and I am surely prepared to accept that you don't) then how does a person acquire a working knowledge of the past several hundred years of human history? You imply that there is a "different" way to acquire this knowledge of a bygone era. What is the secret of your method? >

Plus, I don't care much for history. It is dead and buried. How we got to where we are doesn't matter all that much. What matters is where we go from here.

History is best ignored as those who learn from history are doomed to repeat the cliche about those who refuse to learn from history.
