Came Monday and I got the "what is that on your upper lip?" crap. I told him it was a VERY neatly trimmed mustache. Still have it. One time I had barracks guard, guard nothing, just clean up after everyone cleaned up in the morning. 100% clean got the platoon a pass. Colonel came in and couldn't find a speck of anything wrong. Finally he went to the toilets, donned a long glove and scratched the toilet pipe. "What's this he asked". I said it's human shit, in the toilet pipe where it belongs. We got the pass and I was his driver for a week.
