Arun, I understand that overall it's about 10% of fathers not being the real father though I suppose that's a lot higher in some groups than in others [such as Islamic Jihad circles where adultery earns a stoning to death].

I think that was as measured in Europe or USA.

Even willful miscegenation is endemic. It's as old as Romeo and Juliet and around the world, families bemoan the crazed young they raise in good faith, who insist on running off with somebody from the wrong race, religion, gender, country, guild, family, side of town, etc etc etc....

As you suggest, "Gateway to India" is from another time and I certainly didn't see anyone coming through it. Mahim Creek is more fitting now. Gateway to India was from the grand good old days when all did better and people, goods and money flowed freely. Now they are up Mahim Creek without a paddle and they would NOT want to swim for it.
