Sharpton can actually be very effective. Did you see him in the early primary debates take apart Bush with his skillful and funny one-liners? He's not a serious presidential candidate but he's a lot more likeable than say Jesse Jackson. Also remember, many of the troops dying on the frontlines are black, and unemployment among black youths plus lowering recruitment standards means they're getting sucked into the Army and put in the most dangerous places. Bush has a lot bigger problems than Sheehan to worry about. After the holidays, look out for indictments from Prosecutor Fitzgerald which could take down the WH. Also look for increasing signs of the bursting of the real estate and stock market bubbles. Bush has done everything imaginable to boost the economy (all debt spending) but the party always ends with a big hangover. After that come the Tom Delay ethics investigations. Tom Delay is guilty as sin. In fact he's basically put a "for sale" sign on congress to the most generous corporate lobbyists.
