What keeps people there? Trapped and or unwilling to leave. People that live online - what does place matter so much? I saw this happen in many smaller south ga towns, youngsters would get very bored and join the military or move to the big city to get away from boredom - but I saw retirees move to the areas to get some peace and quiet in thier life. In south ga you had the city officials of several small towns putting together this multi county bus system - they were going to bus in all the small town folks into the big city to work the factory type jobs and service jobs everyday. Big city taxpayers were getting pissed off because they were going to be subsidizing cheaper labor to come in and take some jobs - hehe. I left before it got approved so I don't know how it turned out. I met these 2 sisters in a small town, they got bored, moved to the big city, after they got date raped a few times decided to move back to thier andy griffith life!! Barney fife never tried to get fresh with them like city slickers.
