Strat Petroleum was originally SPRU and began life as a reverse merger of the private Elise Corporation into an old shell from something called F2. The resulting total share count, when all the dust settled, was around 1 Billion and included a large number of disinterested shareholders with 100+/- shares or less.

After advising everyone "..in advance..", the company effected a 13:1 consolidation, a new CUSIP was received, and the new symbol SPRL symbol was granted. Those of us smart enough to collect oodles of SPRU (..knowing the 13:1 was coming..) planned our acquisitions with the idea of having certain quantities of SPRL remaining.

Financially, the conversion was a 1:1 event. SPRU at S0.0029 became SPRL at roughly $0.03 with no pre-conversion dip or post-conversion reduction in PPS value. And, the price per share (..after a jaunt to 0.30+..) has currently settled at $0.16+/-. That's a standing 5-Bagger for most of us, and a good gain for anyone else who is averaged in under today's price.

The objective of the company is to be on the AMEX by the end of '05 as a fully-integrated O&G producer, from well-drilling and oil field services to marketing and final delivery FOB the receiver. At that juncture the PPS is expected to be in the $'s/share range.

How much SPRL, and what other penny stocks, do you currently own - and in what quantities, specifically..???

John :-)
