"When scores rose to 155, associated with genius, there were 5.5 men for every woman."

What that article fails to mention is when you look at scores much below 100, men also out number women. In many areas, and IQ is one of them, women cluster more tightly around the median while men tend more to the extremes.

So much for perceptions...

news.com.au;

Hmmmm........this dude ain't too well informed. Someone better tell him some of the statistics here in the States.

In 2000, 60% of the people attending college in the US were women vs 40% of men. In 1970, those statistics were roughly reversed. Its twice as likely that a woman will go on to get a graduate degree than a man. American girls have now closed the gender gap in math and are close to closing the gender gap in science. Meanwhile, the gap between boys and girls in reading, writing and English with the girls being on top has widen considerably since 1970. Finally, girls test better, get better GPAs and are more likely to graduate valedictorian in the US.

And from what I understand although I did see the actual numbers the situation is pretty much the same in the UK.

What you and the author don't understand is that guys may have better IQs........that was not a metric in my paper....but guys are just not willing to think and do the work. In fact, they are behaving just like you do.......
