Wasn't that strong for us thank god, but it did seem to have a nasty disposition. We're still without electricity here.

I saw that prediction by Derek Ortt. He is usually quite accurate and is one of my favorites on Storm2K.

It won't be pretty if a CAT 4 or 5 makes a direct hit on New Orleans.

I work with a PhD that grew up in N.Orleans. He just shakes his head when he talks about the city getting a direct hit from this hurricane.

Granted, he's a biologist and not a meteorologist but he does know something about the city.

Let's hope Katrina hits a vacant stretch of land on the Gulf Coast..........not likely, but we can hope!
