I didn't ever say the Bush piece is true! I simply noted there is one photo of Bush that seems to support it. And also he seems to be drugged or strange sometimes on tv. I am not the only person who has noticed this.

Obviously anyone interviewed for a piece like that is doing so anonymously. But the capitolblue.com site makes the claim that nothing is printed without two separate sources. Like most stories in Washington, the sources are anonymous. Anyone who would know information like that would have to be inside the White House. As I said earlier, I would be more inclined to believe the report is true if more mainstream journalists started reporting the same kind of stories.

Why do you assume Bush is a nice man?

I didn't have an opinion on Nagasaki until I read the Japanese author's book review. I think the scholarship is interesting and would like to read the book. My primary opinion is actually of Harry Truman--from what I have read, he was not simply a failed small businessman as J.C. portrayed him. I believe he was capable of much more than he is given credit for in terms of complexity, generally speaking.
