Very true but most of the damage was caused by falling vegetation and flooding in poorly drained areas. There was I believe relatively little direct structural damage from wind or wind born missiles.

Compared to Andrew this was nothing. A million without electricity, but we have roofs over our heads.

But it sures seems foreboding there over The Golf.

Maybe the army should undertake an emergency forced evacuation of New Orleans
