W. has jumped the couch.

Not fallen off the couch, as he did when he choked on that pretzel.

Jumped it.

According to UrbanDictionary.com, "jump the couch" has now become slang for "a defining moment when you know someone has gone off the deep end. Inspired by Tom Cruise's recent behavior on 'Oprah.' Also see 'jump the shark.' "

I like Maher ... but even he says he's not a liberal. Apparently, he supported Dole in 1996 and Nader in 2000.

The issues now are so convoluted. I just love, though, how he throws sand in the chimp's face. Other than Jon Stewart, he is probably Bush's main intellectual nemesis on television.

But he has way too many right wingers on his show. Tonight was the first time I can recall left wingers getting more talk time. He bends over backwards to give the right wing a fair and balanced platform on his show.

I watch his show all the time and laugh my ass off. He's a very funny guy and has the correct take on Bush.

Dole? Why would anyone in his right mind have supported Dole? None of Clinton's sexual indiscretions had come out in 1996.
