>>The problem with this thread, is the people here are members of that RE group. So everything is hunky dory as far as they are concerned.<<

Aw, c'mon Lizzie, I like to think of it as giving editorial balance to all of us RE bears roaming around here. After all, it is the Residential Real Estate CRASH thread, no?<G> It's useful to hear from all sides and all parts of the country, especially if one is trying to survive by shorting the stocks of these companies. To that purpose, I think it has been very useful. I appreciate the insights that the various members of the real estate industry have added here (particularly in light of the not infrequent attacks they subject themselves to in doing so).

from 2old on cape cod

Just got back from Cape Cod, Provincetown to be more precise. Last summer there was only 1 cottage for sale. This year there were 'For Sale' signs all over the place. The 450 sq ft cottage that's still for sale this year has been reduced in price. Last year it was $649,000, this year it's $599,000:

Yup, that's the whole thing inside the white fence--no back yard, only a parking spot back there, and it's NOT on the water.

I guess everyone has the same idea to try and get out at the top!
