If by "these people" you mean Iraq and surrounding area, I could not agree more.

I clearly mean Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and not regions like Asia.

I don't even think Iran is any kind of real threat. For one thing, they're Persians, not Arabs, and before Bush blundered into his profitable war in Iraq, the Persian population was among the least anti-American of the people in the region.

Friction involving Muslims in the Philippines or other Asian regions is not our business. For example, it is ethnic Chinese who are the outsiders controlling the economy in the Philippines, and not Americans. We have no business or interest in sticking our noses into their quarrels, whether Islam is involved or not.

The only exception is criminal investigation of terrorism against Americans since Al Qaeda itself is little more than a criminal mafia and if it were treated as such we'd all be better off. I couldn't help but notice how quickly European countries cooperated in investigating the London bombings. Fat chance the putzheads at the FBI would be helpful if Europe or anyone else needed timely help on such matters.
