It will make it worth stealing too

Mopeds are the most stolen item in Waikiki. The thieves come through and check our condo's garage area every night for mopeds that can be stolen. I have had two stolen, the last one just last month. Both times were my fault. The first one I had locked with a cable. They cut it with a cable cutter. The last one I had replaced a faulty lock with a cheaper one. They broke the lock. The insurance companies won't insure them.

You never get them back. I am sure my first two are at rental yards on the North shore. The cops won't check. They spend their time issuing tickets. No money to be made for the city in checking out thefts.

My new one has the front wheel locked at an angle, an alarm, a 10mm chain with a built in lock, and it is locked around a pipe. They won't get this one!
