I'm in favor of a RE crash. I think it will help those that need help (young singles and families) and ironically, I also think it will help the growth stock market which is so moribund it is killing the startup climate.

Real estate is like the law profession to me. Not a wealth creator and a lot of self important folks in the profession.

I'm in total agreement. My only point is young people starting out have too much access to credit to buy stuff like new cars and techno gadgets that wasn't available to any prior generation even gen X or younger boomers when we were there age. Yeah as far as RE, college and debts accumulated the young of today don't yet realize what a hole they will be putting themselves into with little chance to get out from under it.
