Yes, was he serious about that? The price rose another 50 bucks or so in a few months after he made that proposal. Or was it a strategy to push the price up? Everything seems to be based on deferring costs into the future. Ploughing all the profits into buying up more land and starting construction. And then the mortgage business too is a potential weak point once the housing market/economy heads down. But I guess all the big housebuilders have a similar set up? His base pay is pretty outrageous and his other execs too.
