That's very interesting. However, don't most applications make changes in the registry and possibly other changes in parts of Windows? I believe that's why you can't just copy program files to another computer or drive and expect a program to run. Not sure how this all works together in terms of partitioning and making sure that if one drive crashes you can still run with a mirror image on another.
