It's a double-edged sword/blessing, though. Even if University of Crazy Eddie offered "90% Off, Everything Must GO!" prices on tuition, I couldn't have afforded it at the time. Thanks to student loans, I was able to bring myself from absolutely nothing at all, up to a state of abject poverty.

"These student loan programs are responsible for the unbelievable increase in the cost of College. The Universities can charge what they please and the govenment will guarantee the money to pay the freight."

If that is true, institute price controls, but to cut off the means for many to attain an education necessary in todays world is foolish IMHO. jdn
