You guys are underestimating the force involved.
I just got up (6 am, central) to find Katrina is force 5, with 160 mile per hour winds(per TV, Yahoo stating force 4) But if 5, at that velocity, you have things....very large things...flying through the air like hundreds of unguided icbms. Don't imagine damage from the wind, imagine cracking towers hit by pick up trucks at a hundred miles per hour and CITGO awnings and entire roofs from Winn Dixie's. Did you ever see the newsfilm from Homestead when Andrew hit ?
If you are of a mind, say a prayer for anyone even remotely in the path of a force 5, if it is at that level.

If ever there was a mistimed selloff, or a bad forecast (where are you now Joe B.), this must be amongst them.

You could certainly short the big P & C's at this point, although I'm not sure which ones.

Gary

>> I will game your forecast by saying maximum price will be $ 9.99, since most pumps only have 3 digits... <<

No problem, if you remember when gas first went over $1.00, many pumps and display signs only had 2 digits. Station owners simply
wrote a '1' on a white square of cardboard and taped it to the display. Only a few old mechanical pumps couldn't be updated to handle prices greater than 99.9 cents and they were quickly replaced. With today's microprocessor based pumps, only a software update may be required.
