I agree with you, as you know. I'm as mad at the democrats as at the republicans. I've been against this war from day one- and not because I'm against war, as some conservatives argue so speciously on SI, but because I am only for war as a last resort, when it is absolutely necessary. Desert Storm, imo, was absolutely justifiable- another country had been invaded (thought I have to wonder why we have rolled over so completely on Tibet- that still sickens me).

But this war was avoidable, and the intelligence was simply not as rock solid as people are claiming it was, AT THE TIME the war was started- there were plenty of people, more powerful than I, who thought the excuses for war were a load of hooey. Why the democrats rolled over en masse I can only explain in terms of 9/11 induced dementia. That 9/11 changed everything mantra (changed everything, including the critical faculties of a huge swath of normally logical folks) - explains a lot of it. What the rest of the explanation is, who knows? Mass hysteria is probably enough. But I still hold people responsible for their mass hysteria, and I would like to make them pay.

I'd like a clean sweep- of both parties.
