The Superdome in NO is 25 feet above sea level....evidently the main part of the city is at least 12 feet below sea level.... Is the Superdome built to withstand winds of that magnitude, or water flooding the foundation?

i remember carol back in 50's i think around 100 mph winds . lots of shingles , etc flying around and someone could get hurt being out in one. later after it passed we went down by the beach, shore area. three blocks from the beach fish were all over the streets. they were thrown over the walls along with the breaking high waves.
