The eye passed right near our house when it came through here, thank God it was only a category 1 at the time... I agree, this hurricane is of historic magnitude, it will completely devastate anything in its path, the winds are comparable to a F-3 tornado... nothing is safe, I fear there will be very many deaths from this... also, the storm surge is expected to be between 25 and 30 feet, this is unbelievable, considering New Orleans is actually below sea level in the first place... I'm nervous for those people... GZ
