I saw the press conference too. The Mayor of NO was excellent in his presentation, I thought. Quiet, thoughtful, the right amount of communication to convey how important it was to leave the area if at all possible, and no hype from him. The Governor too was equally good in expressing her concern and internal stress, without hype. The storm itself will be enough hype, all by itself, with no one saying anything, if it's as bad as it would appear it will be. I don't think they're exaggerating, for a change. Did you see the press conference? The officials looked serious.
