No. I attacked your post, and its methodology, and the belief system IN the post. Could you fail to see the difference? I tried to very carefully talk about what was in your post, rather than speculate on "grudges" and "political grievances" that were not in it. Read back, and let me know if you find anything personal about you, that wasn't expressly in your post.

I certainly never talked about grudges or political grievances as regards the people in my family. They didn't have any against anyone in the military, they simply loathed the system.

Take this as an example "What a narrow and limited view this is in your post. One hopes it's just pique that makes you express things this way." Your post, written, presumably by you, sets out only two things you can imagine for other people's perceptions of the military and "brainwashing" to differ from yours. I think the adjectives narrow and limited are apt to what is expressed in that post. I even express my hope that your own view (given after reflection, and not reflexively on SI) is more complex- because all I know, I know from your post. See what I mean about sticking to the post? This is about the ideas in your post, not about you personally. I know people tend to think they are their ideas, but to become confused over personal insults, and attacks on ideas expressed in posts, is unacceptable.
