Don't call him names, please. What he wrote is so bad on its own, anything you call him is understatement. He is hoist on his own petard, so let him hang there.

You cannot expect everyone you perceive as rightwing to jump in and criticize an extremely obnoxious post just because a conservative wrote it. I think that places an unfair burden on people. I certainly don't defend the posts of every liberal I read at SI. I have significant problems with some of them. Unfortunately, both liberals and conservatives can be very inappropriate when they write here. I think generally it is better to think of people as individuals, and not lump them together in big masses. There are huge variations in individual belief systems. The post has been removed. If you have strong feelings about what should happen to Uncle West, perhaps you should share them with SI Admin Dave. But the names you called him put you much closer to him in terms of general behavior than you would probably like. Like we discussed at least once before, the way to make people look bad is to act better, more tolerant, more gentle, more forgiving than the people who offend you, not lower yourself towards their level (at least in my opinion).
