"and at the center of a Category 2/3 hurricane."

But a Cat. 3 is the minimum of actual property damage. Still, at least you have experienced one. I hae never been in more than a 2.3 earthquake.

Oh I don't know......part of the roof collapsed next door during the hurricane.

But in LA it wasn't just the damage that terrified me and others......although that was bad enough.........it was the idea that the ground is moving and there is nowhere to go where its safe. Think about the ground moving so strongly people fall to the ground or where the second story of your house is perpendicular to the first story. Hurricanes are terrifying but earthquakes screw with your mind.

Just listened to the news.........it looks like Gulfport and Biloxi, Miss. were the places worst hit by Katrina. Apparently, Gulfport is leveled and mostly underwater. It seems NO got spared the worst of it. About the only good news coming out about this hurricane.

BTW in Gulfport, for safety reasons, they moved the dolphins from a sea aquarium to the swimming pool of a motel. Can dolphins survive outside salt water?
