he clearly and plainly admitted and took full credit for the attack... what more do you need?

How do we know he is not just an attention seeker?
People admit to every famous crime just to get their name in the history books. If Bush makes the case that Bin Laden led the attack then he destroys his rationale for invading Iraq, since Bin Laden and Saddam were bitter enemies and would not have been together on the plan.

While that is an accurate conjecture, the much more likely case is that Bin Laden did indeed plan the attack and arrange financing and operatives. Saddam had absolutely nothing to do with it in spite of years of Bush lying on the subject.

Bush will not support an accurate investigation because it will expose his own lies.
