Look at this new Bush propaganda about Iraq. He's both warning it will get worse (damage control in case it does) and also exaggerating the evils of the insurgency (targeting children who take candy from US soldiers). washingtontimes.com

That image of the insurgents killing a child taking candy from a righteous US soldier is out there with the "uranium from Africa" or "Axis Of Evil" lines. I'm not defending the insurgents, many of them are terrorists who deserve a hot place in hell, but this is the same kind of BS we saw during the Gulf War where Bush Sr's people put out the phony story about Iraqi soldiers murdering Kuwaiti babies in their incubators.

The first casualty of war is truth. Instead of leveling with us, Bush is pretending to, then dumping on the propaganda and taking no responsibility for the quagmire which he got us into. At the same time, his administration has dumped on the whistleblower who first warned of the collosal abuses of Halliburton. Bush and his people simply never hold any of their own accountable. It's all someone else's fault.

Because it does not keep OPEC in line. We have too little...

Remember how Clinton dug into US oil reserves to keep OPEC in line. Haven't seen Bush-Cheney do that yet and I wonder why.

It didn't work and he shouldn't have done it. He actually suggested he'd help the price of oil stay down, as I recall. Disasters like Katrina are what the reserve is for, not political hooey as it was applied by Clinton.
