I agree with your take on the Hispanic situation. I am really quite fond of them I go out of my way to be friendly, and they seem to reciprocate.

I think it is my job to learn a second language, and for me Spanish is it. Hispanics have always been helpful and friendly about it. However, I think they are equally responsible to learn and use English in day to day transactions. These bi-lingual phone menus and ATMs are a step in the WRONG direction.

A flat tax or a sales tax is an attractive idea and will probably happen. When hell freezes over, and accountants and tax lawyers have all retired.

In my opinion, a national sales tax is a bad idea. Not as bad as a VAT, but bad.

And IMO the only thing wrong about a "war on drugs" is the name.
