Shades, the mistake they make in "what should be done about these intelligent robots" is to think that they are little guys racing around looking sort of like people and that they need to have laws surrounding them to ensure they do what "we" want. The problem is defining "we", as in the old joke, "What do you mean "we" white man" [Tonto in reply to the suggestion that "we are in trouble" when surrounded by Indians].

Not all people have the same interest in being part of "we".

There are people who are symbiotic with these things and "we" are not going to have Luddites keep us in the industrial age.

People have already put Ted Kaczynski in prison and he was one of those fighting against the onslaught. Others opposing the process will be similarly dealt with.

We will rule the world.
