It can be done. no it cannot.... and that is the folly of persisting on this path, it is not a matter of IF but WHEN the next devastating failure of the system occurs and the untold suffering and expense of 'restoration' i agree with oral, the restoration should be toward the natural delta formation of the flood plain and much more judicious planning wrt rebuilding it has gotten to the point that 'flood management' is indeed an oxymoron whyfiles.org
