Around the late 1800s a Hurricane hit Scotland, that's pretty far North. Gee the planet must of been cooking then. Did humans survive?

This is getting to be really depressing. There was plenty of suffering caused by the storms last year but N.O. is at another level. Our local paper had a photo this morning of two ladies trying to swim to safety in the part of town that is worst flooded.
