I think of all the illegal drugs, marijuana has the best chance of becoming the first legal one. Although it's made some progress in some states, and may be legalized in Canada, federally it's chances seem more remote now than they did a few years ago.

It's too bad really. It'd be a tremendous boost to the poorest CA counties. It would give the poor of the rural south a crop they could grow that would bring in some real bucks.
