WI passed a Good Samaritan law that shields medical people from lawsuit for rendering aid at an accident. Of course this was fought by the lawyers but in the end common sense prevailed. It happened after a guy died and his wife tried suing a Dr who was on the scene who refused to render aid because of fear of lawsuit. Turned out his malpractice insurer specifically forbade their policy holders from giving aid anywhere except in the hospital.

At any rate your wife can't be sued in WI:)

Isn't there a "Good Samaritan" law that protects anyone who tries to help? Maybe it is state by state.
