Saddam lobbed a few SCUDS as a token resistance. He was trying to get Israel to attack him mainly. For some reason, Saddam didn't seem to want to kill Americans. Or else he would have done a lot more. Or maybe his troops just didn't obey. Whatever. The damage done to our troops during the SCUD attacks was actually from the Patriot missiles we fired at them. Saddam's SCUDS exploded harmlessly in the desert except for one or two which hit Israel.

The danger and evil of Saddam has been greatly exaggerated by Bushies from day one. While potentially dangerous and very dishonest and amoral, Saddam could have been taken care of or taken out in a myriad of other ways. Invasion without Arab allies and the UN, and occupation without a better Iraqi government ready to replace Saddam's and UN peacekeepers standing by was a terrible, stupid idea.

That is why it is actually accurate for Sheehan to say "Bush killed my son". His policies, lies, blunders and poor planning did. Bush's misleadership got a lot of people killed and has made terrorism worse, and a lot of extra people will die on the Gulf now because of that Iraq blunder too. We need those troopps in Louisiana and Mississippi now but they're half a world away garrisoned in Iraq. Bush's misleadership also helped triple the price of oil and have added trillions to our mountain of debt.

As for China, Bush's Iraq War has exposed us to attacks from any other threat, including nature. Katrina proves that we must bring our troops home and also battle global warming.
