I wasn't speaking to lack of individual charitibility (and especially not yours, as I know of it first hand). But I don't think FEMA or like-agencies can be entirely knocked. "Coordination" of emergency relief of this scale is a monumental task itself, and without discounting anyone's charity, I think private monies can't encompass all the needs, by virtue of directing those monies appropriately. Not that FEMA is perfect -- far from it, but they serve a purpose, created by need.
