Port facilities are one thing; residential communities are another.

Well, we're going to pay one way or another. We're going to pay for FEMA emergency relief, because we all benefit from FEMA. You're the one who's big on risk sharing, if I recall correctly.

We're going to pay for food, clothing, shelter, and medical care for the suddenly homeless.

A big chunk of these people already live in subsidized housing.

And flood insurance is subsidized by the federal government, and those policies have already been written.

But I am not talking just about tax money -- I pay my taxes and Congress does with it what Congress will, and even my elected officials don't pay all that much attention to my thoughts on the matter.

I mean charitable contributions, as well.
